Robert Hill

Sergeant First Class (SFC-RET) Robert L. Hill was born in New Milford, Connecticut on 11 February 1971. He graduated from New Milford High School in 1990. Robert entered into military service on 5 January 1989. He has served in every position in a rifle platoon from Rifleman to Weapons Squad Leader. Robert also had served as a Civil Affairs Team and Battalion Operations Sergeant.

Robert's military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Senior Leader Course, Air Assault School, Airborne School, Combatives Level-1, Unit Prevention Leader Course, Tactics Certification Course, Combat Life Saviors Course, The Army Instructor Trainers Course, Armorer Course, SERE-C, Mobile Force Protection, EMT-B, Master Driver and HAZMAT instructor courses.

He has also earned an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Central Texas University and has also completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Troy University. 

Robert is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the National Infantry Association, and the Civil Affairs Association. 

His awards and decorations includes the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medals (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal ( 3 OLC), Good Conduct Medal (6), National Defense Medal (2nd award), Korean Defense Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, NATO Medal (Kosovo), NATO Medal (Afghanistan), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3rd award), Multinational National Forces and Observers Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Ribbon (2ndaward), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Expert Infantryman Badge, Air Assault Badge, Airborne Badge and the Belgium Airborne Wings. SFC Hill was also awarded the Order of Saint Maurice (Legionnaire) for his contributions to the Infantry in 2006.

Robert retired from the Army in 2013. He is married to the former Mrs. Cheryl A. Kennan of New Milford, Connecticut. They are parents of two children and reside in New Milford, Connecticut.
